“I started the journey with Ikhayalethemba when I was 14 years old and my younger brother was 11 years old when Ikhayalethemba intervened in our situation. We had no birth certificates and therefore could not access child support grants. Youth worker aunty Lungi brought hope and helped us register our births as well as child support grants. She helped with our homework and household chores when our mother fell ill and eventually die. Ikhayalethemba through is Isibindi Program built resilience in us and today I am doing my second year in Civil Engineering and my younger brother is in his grade 11.
